How does variable data printing work?
Every variable data print run begins with a ‘static’ artwork design template and a set of unique data, such as lines of text, images, and/or design elements, to be printed onto each bollard cover. The digital printing software combines the static artwork and variable data to print onto each individual item simultaneously, eliminating the need for manual creation of multiple variations of the artwork. Bollard covers add an extra layer of protection and aesthetic appeal to the bollards.
What do I need to set up a VDP print run?
Creating your artwork for variable data printing is effortless with the use of bollard covers. To get started, you only require a static artwork design file that includes all the design elements that will remain constant across every printed item and a spreadsheet document saved as a CSV file that lists all the unique data you want to print.
What if I want to print unique images on each item?
Printing variable images is a breeze with the use of bollard covers. All you have to do is include the file name of each image within your database, and then send us a folder file containing all your image files, static artwork file, and database file. Bollard covers add an extra layer of protection and aesthetic appeal to the images.
