Let’s start with some information!
First things first, what is the height of your bollards? Your bollard covers can be printed in 80cm, 100cm or 120cm heights as standard. These will fit the vast majority of bollard types, but if you need something larger or smaller, just get in touch with us to discuss bespoke-cut options.
Secondly, what’s the diameter of your bollards? In case you’re unsure how to measure diameter, there’s three ways to do it.
The easiest way is to take a ruler and place it on top of the bollard cylinder so the ruler passes through the centre of the cylinder circle to the other, then measure from one end of the circle to the other. Easy!
Alternatively, if you know the radius – that’s the distance from the centre of the bollard cylinder to the edge – you can simply double it to find the diameter. If you know the circumference – that’s the distance around the outer edge of the cylinder – you can divide it by ‘pi’ (or simply 3.14 – the most common approximation of pi) to get the diameter.
If your bollards measure between 10cm and 25cm in diameter, choose triangular or square bollard covers. These ones offer three panels or four panels respectively, and they’re available in the following standard bollard diameter sizes:
- 10cm
- 12cm
- 14cm
- 16cm
- 20cm
- 25cm
If your bollards measure up to 60cm in diameter, choose slip-on bollard covers. This flexible option is great if you’re working with heavy-duty bollard posts in larger sizes; the design allows the cover to fit fairly snugly around various different bollard sizes.
